Carlo dominates qualifying sessions and takes two poles

Van Amersfoort driver Carlo van Dam started very well at Assen. During the free practice in the morning, Carlo was one second in front of the number two. Both qualifying sessions, Carlo was able to drive two sharp and fast laptimes which gave him two pole positions.

Carlo is satisfied with the way he started this weekend together with the team: “I’m very happy how we started today. The car felt good during the free practice, everything is getting into the right place at the moment. The first qualification was quite good, although it could have gone better as there was a bit of dust on the track during my fastest lap (1:34.054).”

“The second qualification was excellent as I was able to drive a very fast time (1:33.185). This new track at Assen is nice to drive with a Formula 3 car, especially the high speed corners. Tomorrow is another day and it’s up to us to keep the momentum and take another win!”
