Carlo looking forward to his F3 Euroseries debut

Carlo van Dam will make his debut in the F3 Euroseries tomorrow during the last weekend of the championship. Volkswagen invited Carlo van Dam last week to drive the car of RC Motorsport with a Volkswagen engine. Carlo was happy to be invited and accepted the offer the drive for a factory supported team.

In preparation for the upcoming weekend, Carlo tested on Tuesday together with his new teammate and RC Motorsport on the circuit of Oschersleben. Carlo is satisfied with the testday: Im happy that I was able to test the car for 1 day. Its always more relaxed when you have to test a car for the first time to be more comfortable and try some setups. I know the team a bit better and there is a good match already between me and my mechanics.

The test went well for us, although I had some problems with the brakes during the day. I expect this problem will be solved before the weekend at Hockenheim starts. The Kumho tyres are different types then I used in the ATS F3 Cup from Yokohama so I had to adjust my driving style and use different setups in combination with another engine as well. At the end of the day, me and my teammate drove almost the same laptime, which is positive.

I cannot make any prediction about my debut weekend in the F3 Euroseries. Lets wait and see how things will go. The team are aiming to be around position 10 in good weekends so lets hope we can put ourselves close to the top 10. Im looking forward to make my debut in the F3 Euroseries with RC Motorsport and Volkswagen!
