Carlo looks forward to races at Suzuka

08-05-08

The third weekend for the Japanese Formula 3 Championship takes place at Suzuka circuit. After four podium finishes Carlo is looking for his first win of the season.

That first victory may have to come during a wet race. Carlo: “Today it’s 30 degrees, but the forecast for the weekend is that it’s going to rain. We just have to wait and see. So far the weather has been great this week, with plenty of sun and temperatures above 25 degrees.”

He gets less time to prepare for the races compared to last weekend at Autopolis circuit. “We only have two free practices, each lasting one hour, on Friday. We’re not allowed to test on Thursday, that’s only permitted at unknown circuits.”

Suzuka is familiar territory and Carlo looks forward to the races on the circuit which is designed by Dutchman John Hugenholtz. “Suzuka really is an amazing track. Perhaps this is the most beautiful circuit in Japan.”
