Carlo ready for GP2 debut with BCN Competition

Carlo van Dam will make his GP2 debut tomorrow morning on the French circuit of Paul Ricard. Initially the test was scheduled on 1 November 2007, but on request of BCN Competition, the test was switched to 30 October 2007. Carlo van Dam will test for BCN Competition as a reward for his German ATS F3 Cup title.

For his preparation of the test, Carlo visited the factory of BCN Competition in Barcelona last week. Carlo tells about his preparation: “It was really busy during the last weeks. Last week I visited the factory of BCN Competition. I had a seat fitting and a meeting where we talked about the planning and programme for the testday”

“I’m really looking forward to drive in GP2 car with 600 horsepower on the circuit. It will be very exciting during my first laps. The team looks professional and I have a good impression of them. I will try to develop myself during the day, together with the team and improve my laptimes step by step. Physically it will be heavy so I hope I can put some flying laps at the end of the day in a good condition!”
