Difficult Friday for Carlo at EuroSpeedway Lausitz

Throughout Friday practice today, Carlo Van Dam struggled with setup problems, which hindered his progress in preperation for fifth round of the ATS F3 Cup at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz. Although a fourth and fifth time in the first and second practice, the gap between Carlo and the fastest driver of Friday, Vervisch, is around seven tenths.

Carlo: The start of the day was quite good but during the session the situation changed. We have some problems with the setup at the moment which is not working very well for us. My fastest time in the first practice was 1:17.4 (4th) on old tyres, while I drove 1:17.2 (5th) on new tyres in the second practice, which is still too slow.

Im definitely not happy with the course of the day and the gap to the fastest of today. After the free practice the team found that the engine mounting was broken, so the mechanics have replaced it. We also have a lot of problems with understeer and I dont think this problem will be solved soon. Im going to check the data of today with my engineers and we will have some meetings so I still stay positive for the rest of the weekend.
