Short race for Carlo van Dam in Budapest
Dutch racing driver Carlo van Dam yesterday retired after 66 laps from the 1000 KM of Hungaroring, round four of the 2010 Le Mans Series. The brakes of his Saleen S7-R entered by the Austrian Atlas FXTeam Fullspeed abruptly failed, causing Carlo to go straight on in the first corner. It marked the end of a problematic weekend in Hungary.
