Carlo aims for maximum score at Motegi
07-08-08Carlo van Dam prepares for the thirteenth en fourteenth round of the Japanese Formula 3 championship, which take place at the Motegi circuit. The TOM’s Toyota driver leads the standings by quite a margin but he will not be easing off.
Carlo: “During the previous weekend at Motegi I won one race, this weekend I want to win both races. I’m looking forward to the weekend. I think we will be very competitive as always and I am positive about a good result.”
His biggest competition will probably come from his teammates. “Motegi is quite a nice circuit and the car always performs well here. My main competitors will be my own teammates. We have changed some things on the car, introduced some new parts. We have to see how that works out. I have to score the maximum and I will go for victory.”
It’s very hot in Motegi. Carlo: “I’ve enjoyed the beautiful weather the last weeks. But now it’s really hot, today it’s 37 degrees. Luckily I am well prepared, I have some good training weeks behind me. We have to see what the weekend will bring us.”
