Carlo looks forward to first racing weekend of the season

The new F3 Euroseries championship begins tomorrow at the German circuit of Hockenheim. Reigning Japanese F3 champion Carlo van Dam will start his first full season in the F3 Euroseries. Van Dam will race for the new German team Kolles & Heinz Union.

Carlo is happy to go racing again: At the moment it rains a bit, but we expect a dry weekend. I have more confidence compared to winter. We improved ourselves during the private test a few weeks ago and were better prepared now. Its difficult to say what our position is in the field, but we will find out tomorrow after the first practice sessions.

I didnt race for 6 months, which is quite long! The last time I was racing was in Macau, so Im quite happy to start the new season this weekend. My new teammate Robert Wickens is a nice guy and also pretty quick I think. Thats important and I think he will be able to help the team improving during the year.

I think it will be very difficult for us to challenge for the title. Jules Bianchi is favorite in my eyes and makes a big chance on clinching the title.
