Carlo looks forward to second weekend at Suzuka
10-07-08Carlo van Dam is looking forward to the second racing weekend of this year at the Suzuka circuit. After a break of 3 weeks, where Carlo visited his home country the Netherlands, the citizen of Vlaardingen is ready to continue his way in the Japanese Formula 3 championship.
Carlo: “It was nice to be in the Netherlands for a couple of weeks. I visited my family ofcourse, and I had some nice time with some friends too. I went back to Japan more then a week ago to acclimatise to the warm weather in Japan. I also trained and sported a lot in preparation for Suzuka.”
“Suzuka is my favourite circuit in Japan, also due to my first win of the season earlier this year. At the moment it’s pretty hot in Japan, with a lot of humidity. Probably it will stay like this during the weekend, but there might be some rain as well. We have to look on Friday how the tyres will react on these conditions, I expect there will be not a lot of grip. I’m really looking forward to drive the car again and to extend my lead in the championship by winning!”
